If you have only 24 hours in Albuquerque there’s three things you just have to consider.
- Stay at Los Poblanos Inn. This farm oasis in the city relaxes you with lavender fields, peacocks, chickens and the best food we’ve ever tasted. Order the beer sampler package for your arrival to sample brews from local beer lovers like La Cumbre, Marble, Santa Fe Brewing Co. and more. Don’t forget a stop at their farm shop for mole paste and lavender salve.
- Take a clay pottery class from Not Made in China. The couples clay date is $65 out the door and offers 2+ hours of pottery wheel lesson with each of you making a small clay pot, vase or dish. What’s better than getting dirty and making art with your sweetheart?! Plus you have an instant souvenir.
- Sip bubbles at Gruet Winery. The winery has been producing sparkling since 1987. But they also offer delicious still wine like their Cabernet – a lighter sweeter Cab. Often referred to as a “summer Cabernet”, perfect for hot New Mexican summers. Tastings are reasonable and the staff is knowledgeable.
Cheers!
