I haven’t posted for some time. Been doing a lot of decompressing, traveling (yea!) and dealing with a pretty rare neurological issue – vestibular migraine (opposite of yea). So, yea, you know. But I’ve missed posting and then life got in the way and I had a hard time figuring out how to return, and if I should.
But then a significant, wonderful thing happened. This is where I’d enter a hashtag blessed if I did that sort of thing. I don’t.
But that doesn’t mean I don’t feel blessed. Opposite. During our 10-year vow renewal in Newfoundland, my husband and I felt the need to share our vows with the universe. We placed them in a bottle of Mumm sparkling (empty bottle of course) which was specially ordered for us by the sommelier at Artisan Inn in Trinity, NL. My sweet hubby used a synthetic cork (smart! Dr. Brad Cotton) and placed our vows in a ziplock – I hate plastic, but in this situation it worked.
We had been so #blessed (guess I lied earlier. Lol) and had won a tour via Bonavista Puffin & Whale Boat Tours the week of our anniversary celebration. So, since we couldn’t easily chuck a champagne bottle into the ocean without fear of it banging back against one of the notorious Newfoundland beautifully cragged rocks, we asked the tour team to take our bottle out to sea for us. And, because Newfoundlanders are so kind, they said YES! AND sent us photos.
Fast forward 263 days and over 2100 nautical miles (over 2,400 regular miles) and the bottle with our love story traveled into the hands of the loveliest couple in the U.K.
They have a love story too (I hope you do too!) AND they do things like meditate and send love across the ocean, like they did on the day the universe sent love back via our message in a bottle. See what happened here – we really are blessed and Love what matters!
