We are admittedly obsessed with our rescue, a three-year-old French Brittany Spaniel, and want to take her with us whenever we can. And right about now we’re getting Spring fever. Aren’t we all?  Seems like a good time to start planning a dog-friendly family trip. Here’s some of @DixieSunflower (follow her on Instagram) favorite spots.

In Montague, Mich., Dixie enjoyed the dog-friendly Weathervane Inn.
She went to the beach for the first time.

And was welcomed at Cherry Point Farm’s lavender labrynth and fish boil.

Her favorite spot was inside Fetch Brewery where smiley pups are welcome.

Chicago’s West Loop is very dog friendly. We stay at the Crown Plaza where we can easily walk to a dog park and restaurant row.

Canoeing the Fox River through Ayers Landing Canoe rental is like a four-hour staycation.  Bonus that August Hill winery is nearby and offers a dog-approved patio.

Hermann, Mo is a special treat where all Brittany’s are welcome at the wineries.
We stayed at adorable Gosherd Valley Cottage. Dixie felt very much at home.
