Through the View – Point Reyes, California

The best way to capture Point Reyes, California along Tomales Bay and the nearby Sonoma Coast communities was through the view.

My most favorite view was from our Point Reyes vacation rental just off Highway 1. Even on a cloudy day, it was magic. Maybe even more so with the hanging fog and silent boats.

I always enjoy a view that leads to a winery. Isn’t the gate at McEvoy Ranch in Petaluma lovely?

The jalepeno olive oil was surprisingly mild and flavorful. And the Poggio Montepulciano wine transported us to Tuscany.

The views along hiking trails at Point Reyes National Seashore and Tomales Bay State Park were playful and beautiful.

A stop at Heidrun Meadery was also whimsical and tasteful. Sparkling mead in nectar flavors like Carrot Blossom and Hawaiian Macadamian Nut Blossom.

Decisions were tastefully tough.

Bodega Bay was as pretty as a painting.

And the village shops offered sweet treats.

And fun kites! Feel like a kid again!

It’s a beautiful magical piece of Calfornia.
