It may seem untraditional, but for the last six years my husband and my tradition has been to spend Thanksgiving in California. More specifically, wine tasting in California.
This year of travel allowed us to visit several wine trails – Washington, Connecticut, Vermont – but California at Thanksgiving remains our favorite. Some special treats included the Salon Tasting at Swanson Vineyard with a cheese, chocolate and caviar pairing. During the holidays, the setting is exceptionally festive.
