As rain sprinkles across the desert at Joshua Tree Oasis, I am tempted to photograph and post everything I see from scurrying wildlife, blowing blooming palms, and curtains of rain. But the winds speak to me and the clouds draw me in with their meditative cleansing. I consciously choose to be in these moments rather than a lensed spectator. I am content with this one photo to remind me of the desert and its gifts. Thanks to my husband for capturing this intimate moment between me and the desert rain.
